A rectangle is divided into 8 equal parts. Two parts are shaded. Which fraction is equivalent to the shaded are of the rectangle?- 1/4

 

Shaded: 2/8.       2 divided by 2           =1/4                           2/8 = 1/4

                             8 divided by 2
